Tooooo cute

Tommy had his Valentine's Party at school yesterday and was pretty hyped up in Sugar by the time I picked him up. Them we proceeded to traverse the county delivery more Valentines and eating more sugar as it was provided. We then had to go grocery shopping. He is usually pretty good the store, for a while. this time he was in such a good mood just gabbering away and talking to everyone and moving all over the place (the grocery store has carts that look like race cars and they can move around little bit) was so excited when I picked up Shrek Cheezit crackers. When we finally got home I gave him some Shrek cheezits and put on Bob the Builder on TV and went into the kitchen to put away the groceries. I am not sure what the reason was but he was just so excited about it all that he comes running into the kitchen saying "I need fives, I need fives" I had no idea what he was talking about so he grabs my hand and holds in up and gives me a "high five". he was so excited about everthing he needed to give someone a "high five"!! It was just so cute.

Frosty the Snowman

Here is Brooklynn's and Tommy's snowman. They had alot of fun and were very sad when he melted away.

Let it snow!!

Well Nana and Papa came down to visit and they brought snow with them. This was the first real snow for Tommy and Brooklynn. It only snowed about an inch but they thought it was great!!





Tommy wanted to keep his snowball till Michael got home so we put it in the freezer.

He's a genius!!

We were all the mall the other day and Tommy and Mike were looking at the map of the mall. You know they have a list of the all the stores and a number and letter to show were they are located in the mall. Well Tommy pointed at the letter "D" and said "D!" Can you believe it?!?!

Then the other morning we were sitting watching Super Why on PBS and they asked "what sound does the letter D make" and without prompting Tommy said "Duh, duh" He is just a chip off the old block I guess. he he he

Metamorphasis

I am sure you have all heard the comparison of a young girl blossoming into womanhood as a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. I just had no idea that they were being literal.

I think this species is called the princess butterfly.

Halloween

Oh charlie Brown, your a clown...... Isn't he cute?

She been telling us she was a princess so I guess she was right.

I know I know these are late. But hey better late than never right?

Bad Mommy

I was not a very good mommy this weekend. Tommy and I went out the garage to tag some stuff for a yard sale. Michael had just gotten finished mowing the lawn and I wasn;t paying attenttion and Tommy put his hand on the lawnmower and burnt himself. He was very brave and didn't cry for very long, but for some reason while we were outside I was not able to see how bad it was. It wasn't until we came inside 30 minutes later that I could see it was starting to blister. Bless his heart.

He still does not complain about it hurting but he will not let me put a bandaid on it. He likes putting on the burn cream but NO bandaid!

Another First

Well yesterday was Tommy's first day of preschool. He had his Curious George lunch box in hand and was ready to go.

Daddy dropped him off in the morning.

And he had lots of fun...that is until someone in the building accidently pulled the fire alarm! All the little girls in the class we initially surprised but got over it quick. Tommy and Kai did not get over it that quick and even after they stopped crying they kept giving the alarm nervous glaces the rest of the day.

This was Brooklynn's second year. So she was a seasoned veteren and gave Tommy some good advice.

Even though she was an old pro she was still excited to see her new class.

I know, I know...

It has been forever since I posted anything. Bad Danielle. Well since we last talked, Tommy has been to Michigan and went pee pee in the potty. He is also talking alot more now. Well I should say we can understand alot more of what he is saying. He now follows simple commands like "Bring me your shoes" or " Do you want crackers or Cheetos. It is so cute, he loves baked Cheetos which he calls "toes".

He also loves to flush the tiolet, which I guess is a good thing for later on.

Ocean

We went to the beach this summer and Brooklynn loved the ocean. She never wanted to go in the water, mostly because it was bone chilling cold. Ever since we have been home she has been asking about the ocean, and the beach, she wants to go back so bad. Maybe next year.

The Workforce keeps getting younger

First Hair cut

Tommy got his first haircut today. The top was getting so long he was starting to do a Donald Trump comb-over.


We were pretty sure it was not going to go smoothly, but Jennifer was a trooper. (Best hairstylist in chattanooga, if you are looking)









Here he thought she was going to cut his ear off. Don't worry they are both still intact.












Then he thought she was cutting it WAY too short.













Even after it was all done he still refused to give us a smile. But doesn't he look just adorable?


I hope I will not come off too bad in his later therapy sessions. It had to be done sweety, sorry.

He did it!

I asked Tommy today where his nose was and he pointed at his nose!! He is a genius. Of course then he promptly tried to pick his nose but one thing at a time.

New House

Well tommy has a new house! We plan to move in at end of month we have a number of projects to do before we do though. Every time Tommy sees the house he says "wowee" and get excited. I am not sure if understands that this is where we will be living or if he just thinks its a fun place to come play.

I know it has been forever since I have posted anything. Just to update you on Tommy. He has learned to walk backwards, sometimes on purpose sometimes not. He can also turn around in circles, but he prefers to go in cirlces in our office chairs. He also has a number of words in his arsenal now. ironically he pronounces a number of the words with a Boston accent, where did that come from. his favorite word is No. But he is slowly learning to use Yes.
A couple of weeks ago Tommy saw the ocean for the first time. He was quite impressed I think. At first he wasn't too sure about all the sand but once he saw he could throw it he was all over it. I wish I had gotten a picture but one day he decided to try all the sand buckets on his head.
