Orange Juice Moon

The things kids name things is so cute sometimes. Tommy loves to find the moon in the sky when it is still daylight. He like to say that that he painted the moon in the sky. The other day it was getting to dusk and we were driving in the car, he had already found the moon, he started trying to see out all the windows he could. He finally asks where is the orange juice moon? It took me second to realize he was talking about the sun! How cute, the Orange Juice Moon!

Whiny

Well we are into full swing with the terrible twos and boy can Tommy be a whiner (is that how you spell that, I am sure Jessica will let me know if it spelled wrong). So we set down a had a little talk yesterday about his whining and I told him I did not like whiny little boys. So he stopped for most of the day. Then he started whining about wanting to watch Bob the Builder. So I told him again I didn't want whining to so I kid you not right in the middle of a whine "watch Bob the Builder" he lowered his voice and said really low "watch Bob the Builder". It was soo funny. I wish I could have gotten it on tape.

just some randomness

I know it has been a long time since I have update the blog. But everything is going fine and the kids are growing like weeds. Here are some random pics I thought you might enjoy.

It's stuck.

Well allergy season is in full swing here in the south. The other morning Tommy woke and up and told me that his nose was "stuck" and made a couple of sniffs to show me how it was "stuck". So cute.

Trapped!

As I am writing this blog I am currently locked in my basement. Tommy must have turned the lock and then shut the door! Don;t worry Tommy is locked in here with me. Thankfully it is a finished basement with a bathroom. I tried picking the lock but apparently I am not "thief minded". Of course now that we can't get out Tommy really wants to go upstairs! Thankfully I had the phone with me so Mike is hopefully on his way home to free us. Never a dull moment with kids.

I've been telling you all....

for years that I didn't have an accent and this proves it!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Smarter than we think

Since Tommy has stopped eating baby food it has been a constant struggle to get him to eat anything. For a while he was loving hotdogs and wanted them all the time, but then out of the blue he won't eat them anymore. Tonight I asked him if he wanted a hotdog and he said "yes" so I made him hotdog and gave him some pretzels. He ate about half of the pretzels and none of the hotdog then said he wanted to get down. Being the responsible parents we are, we told him he needed to finish the pretzels or take one bite of the hotdog. He picked up the hotdog, me and Micheal held our breath to see what he would do, and it started towards his mouth. He puts it in his mouth and bites down (inside I am cheering, we have won, our will was obeyed!) and pulls the hotdog out still intact with bite marks nearly severing the tip and then he puts it down and smiles. Mike and I burst out laughing, well we never did say he had to bite it off and eat it.

We did manage to get him to eat the remainder of the pretzels at least.
